who we are

our history

The Bridge website was made possible in part by a grant from the Lester A. Walker fund of the Fremont Area Community Foundation.  Former owner and publisher of the Fremont Tribune, Lester Walker was a respected business leader, community promoter and philanthropist.  He encouraged others to make their community a better place.

OUR MISSION

The mission of The Bridge is the prevention and elimination of domestic violence and sexual assault.  We work to enhance safety and to promote equality in relationships.  We are opposed of the use of violence to control the lives of others. The Bridge is committed to eliminating violence in the lives of women, children and men through empowerment, education and social change.

our service area

With a deep commitment to ending domestic violence and fostering healing, our crisis center serves the counties of Burt, Cuming, Dodge, Saunders and Washington in the beautiful state of Nebraska. Our reach extends beyond city limits into rural landscapes, recognizing the importance of supporting survivors everywhere, at anytime we're needed.

Whether you live in cities like Fremont, Blair and West Point or smaller towns of Arlington, Herman and Oakland, we support survivors everywhere.
