We respond to and organize services for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault for anyone living within five Nebraska counties including Burt, Cuming, Dodge, Saunders and Washington. That includes the bigger cities like Fremont, Blair, West Point and Wahoo and rural towns like Arlington, Yutan, Herman and Oakland, and everyone in between.
Your courage is your strength. Our team is here to provide guidance, resources and a safe space for you to rebuild your life.
Crisis intervention services are offered to individuals experiencing domestic violence and/or sexual assault. Our organization maintains a 24-hour crisis hotline and has qualified personnel available to respond to a crisis in-person or over the phone.
Emergency shelter is a program designed to provide safe, temporary housing for adults and children fleeing domestic violence. Upon arriving, victims are provided with meals and daily living essentials. Clients then work directly with support services specialists and victim advocates to locate safe housing, develop safety plans and establish self-sufficiency.
Safety planning is a service that involves developing an individualized blueprint to reduce risk and protect victims from future harm. Advocates work directly with victims to assess danger levels and prepare safety plans according to personal circumstances. This is often a fluid process and can occur before, during and after a victim leaves an abusive household.
The Bridge supports clients as they work with the justice system, including helping clients file protection orders and guiding them through a deposition or trial.
Information and referral is available to domestic violence survivors, families, friends, community members and local service providers. We offer information on agency services and referrals to area resources to support those impacted by violence.
Through education, awareness and advocacy, we're breaking the cycle of domestic violence and sexual assault.
